Victoria S. Harrison, PhD

Victoria S. Harrison holds a full professorship in Philosophy at the University of Macau. She joined the University of Macau in 2016 from the University of Glasgow (2005-2016). Prior to that, she taught Philosophy at the University of Colorado at Boulder (2001-2004), Birkbeck College, University of London (1998-2001), the University of Notre Dame’s London Centre (1998-2001), and Kingston University (1997-2001). At Glasgow University she was Reader in Philosophy and Director of the Forum for Philosophy and Religion. She has published widely on the philosophy of religion, intercultural philosophy, and Asian philosophies. She is on the executive committee of the European Society for the Philosophy of Religion.

Victoria is subject editor of Philosophy of Religion for Philosophy Compass and she serves on the Board of Associate Editors for the International Journal for Philosophy of Religion (Springer) and the Editorial Board of Religious Studies: An International Journal for Philosophy of Religion (Cambridge University Press). She is also a member of the Advisory Board for The International Journal of Philosophy and Theology (Routledge).

Teng Wai Lao, MA

Teng Wai is a PhD student in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of Macau. She began her studies at Durham University in the United Kingdom: BA in Ancient History and Archaeology (2015-2018) and MA in International Cultural Heritage Management (2018-2019), in which she developed interdisciplinary and conceptual skills in the fields of Classics, Archaeology, and Philosophy. She presented and published her papers in international journals and conferences. She recently presented at the International Council of Museums (ICOM) Prague 2022.

Jan Gresil S. Kahambing, PhL

Jan Gresil Kahambing is a PhD Candidate reading philosophy & museums at the University of Macau. He was former Director of Leyte Normal University Museum. His interests reflect the completion of certified courses (2020-2022) on omens, oracles, and prophecies (Harvard University), philosophy and religion (Edinburgh University; with honors), philosophy of emotions (Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona; with honors), arts and heritage management (Universita Bocconi), human health and climate change (United Nations Institute for Training and Research and World Health Organization), conservation project planning (National Geographic), ecosystem dynamics and conservation (American Museum of Natural History), and 4 courses for a Modern and Contemporary Art and Design specialization (Museum of Modern Art).

He is a member of the Eastern Visayas Association of Museums and a founding member of the Philippine Network for Intangible Cultural Heritage Safeguarding based at the University of the Philippines-Iloilo.

Ka Yin Caspar Chan, ReMa

Caspar Chan is a current PhD candidate at the University of Groningen. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Studies (First Class Honours) at Hong Kong Baptist University (2016-2018), and received his Master of Arts in Applied Musicology from Utrecht University (2019-2020) and Research Master of Arts in Arts, Media and Literary Studies (cum laude) from the University of Groningen (2020-2022). His current research focuses on Macau’s history, and the relationship between intangible cultural heritage and its constituting communities’ memory. In addition, he has also written on topics related to arts, politics and cultural studies. He works now as an independent researcher in close ties with the Heritage Society of Macau, the Archives of Macau, and the Diocesan Office of Historical Archives and Patrimony of Macau.
